1.1. The controller of your personal data is SIA 1986 GAMES, registered in the Register of Legal Entities of the Republic of Latvia under registration number 40203499529, legal address: Puku 8b, Balozi, Kekavas novads, LV-2128, Latvia ("we", "us", "our").
1.2. This policy applies when you:
1.3. "Personal data" means any information that identifies you directly or indirectly, including pseudonymous identifiers such as device or player IDs.
1.4. Some Games are developed or published together with partner developers and publishers. Where a partner decides for itself why and how it processes your data, it acts as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. Where such a game is distributed under a partner's name or on a platform that requires a separate policy (for example, mini-game platforms in mainland China), the policy shown in that game applies instead of, or in addition to, this one.
1.5. Our Websites and Games may link to services run by others, such as app stores, social networks and payment providers. Their own privacy policies apply to them.
We collect data you give us, data created automatically when you use our Games and Websites, and data we receive from partners and platforms. Which data is collected depends on the Game, its version, the platform, and the choices you make (for example, whether you allow tracking or personalised ads).
The store or payment provider processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your bank or card details.
We may receive data about you from app stores and platforms (for example, purchase confirmations, refunds and reviews), from advertising, attribution and analytics partners, from our publishing partners, and from public sources such as social networks when you contact us there.
| Purpose | Examples | Legal ground |
|---|---|---|
| Providing the Games | running the game, saving and syncing progress, cloud save, multiplayer, leaderboards, guilds, in-game inbox, delivering rewards | Performance of our contract with you (the Terms and Conditions) |
| Purchases | verifying purchases, delivering items, handling refunds, preventing purchase fraud | Contract; legal obligation (accounting and tax) |
| Player support | answering requests, investigating issues using your game state, replying to app store reviews, translating messages | Contract; legitimate interest in helping players and keeping a history of past requests |
| Safety, fair play and moderation | detecting cheating, multiple-account abuse and fraud, filtering and reviewing player content, acting on reports, enforcing our Terms | Legitimate interest in a safe and fair game; legal obligations (for example under the EU Digital Services Act) |
| Improving the Games | analytics, testing, balancing, A/B tests, finding and fixing crashes and errors, performance | Legitimate interest in improving our Games |
| Advertising in the Games | showing ads, rewarding you for watching them, frequency capping, measuring ad performance | Legitimate interest for contextual (non-personalised) ads; consent for personalised ads where the law requires it |
| Marketing and user acquisition | measuring which campaigns bring players, promoting our Games on other services, building audiences | Consent where the law requires it (for example, iOS tracking); legitimate interest otherwise |
| Notifications and news | push notifications, in-game messages, newsletters | Consent where the operating system or law requires it; legitimate interest for in-game messages |
| Recruitment | evaluating applications, interviews, test assignments | Steps before entering a contract; legitimate interest |
| Business operations | accounting, audits, corporate transactions such as a merger, acquisition, investment or sale of a Game, and due diligence | Legal obligation; legitimate interest |
| Legal matters | complying with law, responding to lawful requests from authorities, establishing or defending legal claims | Legal obligation; legitimate interest |
Where we rely on legitimate interest, we have weighed our interest against your rights. You can object at any time (see section 11). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before.
4.1. Many of our Games are free to play and show ads. Ads are delivered through advertising and mediation partners (see section 7). These partners may collect device data, advertising identifiers and ad interaction data directly from your device, as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.
4.2. Personalised ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown, through a consent tool based on the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework or Google's consent tools. If you do not consent, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalised. You can review or change your choice at any time in the Game, usually under Settings > Privacy options (the exact menu name may differ between Games).
4.3. iOS tracking. On iOS, we ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before accessing your IDFA or tracking you across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you allow it, the IDFA is used to measure which ads led to installs and purchases and to show personalised ads. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your device.
4.4. Android. You can reset or delete your Google Advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device settings (usually Settings > Google > Ads or Settings > Privacy > Ads).
4.5. Rewarded ads. Some Games offer in-game rewards for watching an ad. Watching them is always optional.
4.6. We do not sell your personal data for money. Sharing advertising identifiers with advertising partners may count as "selling" or "sharing" under some laws (see section 15).
5.1. We use artificial intelligence ("AI") and machine-learning services to help run our Games and player support. For example, we use them to:
5.2. To do this, the text you send us (such as support messages, reviews, chat or player content) and related context (such as your player ID, game, language or game state) may be sent to an AI provider acting as our processor. We send only what the task needs.
5.3. We use or may use AI services from providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google (including Gemini and Vertex AI), Microsoft (including Azure OpenAI Service), Amazon Web Services (including Amazon Bedrock), Mistral AI, Cohere, Meta (Llama models through hosting providers), xAI, OpenRouter, Groq, Together AI, Fireworks AI, Hugging Face, DeepL, Google Cloud Translation, Microsoft Translator and Amazon Translate, and similar providers that we add or replace over time.
5.4. Where a provider offers it, we use business or API terms under which the provider does not use our content to train its general-purpose models.
5.5. Automated moderation may block, hide or delay player content, or flag an account for review. We do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing. You can ask for a person to review a moderation decision by contacting support@1986games.com.
6.1. Your player name, avatar, guild or clan name and description, chat messages, leaderboard position, and the teams or recordings used in player-versus-player modes may be visible to other players. Do not include personal information such as your real name, address or phone number in them.
6.2. We store player content on our servers. It is checked automatically and may be reviewed by our staff or moderators when it is reported or flagged. We may remove content and restrict accounts that break our Terms and Conditions.
6.3. You can report content or players from within the Game, where available, or by contacting support@1986games.com.
7.1. We share personal data only for the purposes in section 3, and only with the categories of recipients below. Some act as our processors and use the data only on our instructions. Others act as independent controllers under their own privacy policies, for example app stores, platforms and some advertising partners.
7.2. Because our Games differ, not every provider below is used in every Game, and providers change over time. A provider receives data only from the Games and features in which it is used. A current list for a specific Game is available on request at info@1986games.com.
Servers, databases, storage, content delivery, network security and DDoS protection, backups, email and office tools. Providers we use or may use include Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Cloudflare, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Hetzner, OVHcloud, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. We also run some systems on servers we operate ourselves in the European Union.
Sign-in, cloud saves, multiplayer, achievements, leaderboards and push notifications: Apple (Game Center, iCloud, Apple Push Notification service), Google (Play Games Services, Firebase Cloud Messaging), Valve (Steam), Meta (Facebook Login), Tencent (WeChat), ByteDance (Douyin) and other platforms on which our Games are offered.
Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon Appstore, Samsung Galaxy Store, Huawei AppGallery, Steam and other stores; payment providers such as YooKassa, Xsolla, Stripe and PayPal, where a Game offers payments outside an app store.
Google Firebase (including Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config and A/B Testing), Google Analytics, GameAnalytics, AppMetrica, ByteBrew, Unity (including Unity Analytics and Cloud Diagnostics), Sentry, Amplitude, Mixpanel, devtodev and similar providers.
Adjust, AppsFlyer, Tenjin, Singular, Branch, Kochava and similar providers.
AppLovin (including MAX), Google (AdMob, Ad Manager and Google Ads), Unity (Unity Ads and ironSource / LevelPlay), Meta (Audience Network and Meta Ads), Mintegral, Liftoff (including Vungle), Digital Turbine (including DT Exchange, formerly Fyber, and AdColony), InMobi, Pangle and TikTok for Business, Moloco, Chartboost, BIGO Ads, Yandex Ads, Smaato, Verve, Apple Search Ads, Snap, Reddit, X and similar advertising networks, exchanges and their partners.
Google User Messaging Platform and other consent management platforms registered with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework.
Support and helpdesk tools (including Helpshift and our own support systems), email delivery services, community platforms such as Discord, and content-moderation services, including those offered by platforms on which our Games run.
The providers listed in section 5.3.
Game publishers, co-publishers, distributors and partner developers that work with us on specific Games. Depending on the Game and agreement, they may receive analytics, attribution, advertising, purchase, crash and player support data about that Game, sometimes collected directly through their own accounts with the providers listed above. A partner developer or publisher sees data only for the Games it works on.
Lawyers, accountants, auditors and insurers; and potential or actual buyers, investors or successors in a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets or sale of a Game, including during due diligence. If ownership of a Game changes, your data for that Game may transfer to the new owner, who must continue to protect it.
Courts, law enforcement, regulators and other public authorities, where the law requires it or to protect our rights, our players or the public.
8.1. We store most data in the European Union. Some recipients in section 7, or their group companies and sub-processors, are located in or access data from countries outside the EEA, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, India, China and other countries where those providers operate.
8.2. When data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission (including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified companies), the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or another safeguard or exception allowed by the GDPR. You can ask for a copy of the relevant safeguards at info@1986games.com.
9.1. We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes in section 3, and then delete or anonymise it. How long that is depends on the type of data:
| Data | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Account, progress and cloud save data | While your account is active. If a Game is not played for a long time or a Game is shut down, we may delete it after a reasonable period. |
| Analytics, crash and advertising data | Generally no longer than 3 years after collection; often shorter, according to each provider's retention settings. |
| IP addresses held on our game servers for abuse prevention | Generally no longer than 90 days. |
| Moderation, reports and fight logs | As long as needed to handle the case and prevent repeated abuse. |
| Purchase records | As long as accounting and tax law requires, and as needed to handle refunds and disputes. |
| Player support requests and app store reviews | As long as needed to support you and other players, keep a history of past issues, improve our Games and support, and establish or defend legal claims. |
| Recruitment data | For the recruitment process, and up to 2 years after it if you agree that we may consider you for future positions. |
| Website and cookie data | As described in section 12. |
| Backups | Overwritten on a rolling schedule. |
9.2. App store reviews are published by the app store, not by us. Only you, as the author, can edit or remove a review, through the store. Our copy of a review and our reply may remain in our support systems as described above.
9.3. We may keep data longer where the law requires it, to resolve a dispute, to enforce our Terms, or where data has been anonymised so that it no longer identifies you.
10.1. In the Game. Where a Game has an account deletion option, usually under Settings, you can delete your account there. After you confirm, there may be a waiting period (for example, 7 days) during which you can cancel in the Game's settings. If your account is linked to a platform account, you may be asked to sign in again to confirm. After that, we delete or anonymise your online account, cloud save, linked sign-in, push tokens and the other data that the Game's servers hold about you, except as described in 10.3. Progress stored only on your device may stay on the device until you delete the Game.
10.2. By email or support request. You can also ask us to delete your data by email to support@1986games.com, or through the Game's support screen. Include the name of the Game and your player ID or Support ID (shown in the Game's settings), so we can find your data. Step-by-step instructions are at 1986games.com/support.
10.3. What we may keep. We may keep data where we are legally required or allowed to, for example purchase records needed for accounting (no longer linked to your player profile), data needed to prevent fraud or repeated abuse, and data needed to establish or defend legal claims. Deleting your account in a Game also deletes the support conversations held on that Game's servers. Copies kept in our support systems, and app store reviews, are handled as described in section 9.
10.4. Deleting a Game from your device does not delete your account or data. Data that third parties hold as independent controllers (for example, an app store, platform or advertising partner) must be deleted through those parties. You can reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.
10.5. Deletion cannot be undone. Lost progress, purchased items and virtual currency cannot be restored after deletion.
11.1. Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
11.2. To use your rights, write to info@1986games.com, or by post to our address in section 1. We may ask you for information to verify your identity and find your data, such as your player ID or Support ID. We answer within one month. If a request is complex, or we receive many requests, we may extend this by two more months and will tell you why.
11.3. Using your rights is free. We may charge a reasonable fee or refuse a request that is clearly unfounded or excessive, as the law allows.
12.1. Our Websites use cookies and similar technologies (pixels, tags, local storage and server logs).
12.2. Except for necessary cookies, we use cookies only with your consent, given through the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on the Website or in your browser.
12.3. Cookie data is kept for as long as each cookie lasts, up to a maximum of 2 years, and related data for up to 2 years after your visit.
13.1. Our Games are intended for players aged 13 and older. Some Games have a higher age rating in an app store, and that rating applies to them. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Our Games are not directed at children under 13 within the meaning of the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
13.2. For players we know or reasonably believe are under 16, we aim to show only non-personalised ads and do not send direct marketing, where the Game's technology allows it.
13.3. If you are under the age of digital consent or the age of majority in your country, you should use our Games only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who should review this policy with you.
13.4. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, contact info@1986games.com and we will delete it.
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls and authentication, pseudonymisation, logging, backups, data minimisation, and contracts with our processors. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the authorities where the law requires.
The UK GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection give you rights equivalent to those in section 11. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have the right to know what personal data we collect and share, to access, correct and delete it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal data and of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data for money. Sharing advertising identifiers and ad interaction data with advertising partners may count as "selling" or "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out by turning off tracking or personalised ads in your device settings (see sections 4.3 and 4.4), through the Game's privacy options where they are shown, or by writing to info@1986games.com. We do not discriminate against you for using these rights. The categories of personal data, their sources, purposes and recipients are described in sections 2, 3 and 7.
Where local law gives you rights not described here, you can use them by contacting info@1986games.com.
Games distributed on platforms in mainland China (for example, WeChat or Douyin mini-games) may have their own privacy policy in Chinese, which is shown in the Game and applies to those Games.
We may update this policy as our Games, partners and the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will notify you of significant changes in the Game or on our Website, and ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
